That’s so interesting that it’s not the sweet treat that is enticing her to bake, but the process. I like your writing “voice” and your rhythm in this post. I can just picture it all. “I get requests from her to make a cake…. and we will. And then she’ll have two bites and then be done… leaving an entire cake just sitting around asking to be eaten. Trouble.” It’s lyrical and funny.

Such a sad little tree stump; such a cutie pie little girl! I would love to visit Paris some day. Your photos make me want to visit it even more, just beautiful!

Your daughter is dressed as chic as a little girl could be–in Paris. I haven’t been to France yet, but my eldest is getting a free trip to perform there (not sure where yet) with his jazz band this December. Oh–I know what you mean about wanting to be traveling again; it’s so carefree and interesting.

haha, yes definitely a goofy name!! It’s a bit confusing, but I am a dual citizen US/UK so we were in London for the past year, and we are looking to move to Chicago this Spring… living in limbo for the mean time :)

Yum! This sounds wonderful to me. My hubby doesn’t like to eat anything yellow or orange so I don’t make soups like this too often, but it sounds healthy and delicious. I too like to prepare food the way you do, rustically. Happy Halloween! P.S. Your daughter is so cute and it looks like such a clean day after the rain.
