I can’t believe we were in Paris two months ago. I’m ready to go back. I think I’ll always be ready to go back there! What an awesome city. I think the last photo is proof that Paris misses me too…

Til Gajak, Pastelli, Delicious.
This is a popular sweet treat in many parts of the world. There are many variations on it, but the basic version is just honey + sesame seeds.
these are so simple to make, and there is something so very satisfying about making your own candy.
Bring 1 1/4 cups honey to a boil [...]

Paris was awesome. It was everything and more that I hoped it would be. A lot of places in the world are over-rated….. Paris is not one of them! But that goes without saying, doesn’t it?
We move out of our Greenwich flat and temporarily into my Aunt and Uncle’s this Saturday… I can’t believe [...]
Chocolate-Coconut Ice cream

To celebrate our 4yr anniversary, I surprised Noah with a chocolate flavoured coconut ice cream. It’s dairy-free and only uses a few tablespoons of honey for a sweetener.
For the cream:
2 cans full fat coconut milk
6 eggs
pinch of salt
4 tablespoons of honey (more or less to taste)
2 heaping tablespoons of cocoa powder (I used green & [...]

frittata, originally uploaded by –Barbara–.
I love frittatas. like a crustless quiche– but even quicker to throw together.
This one is just fried pancetta, leeks, garlic and spring green onions. 6 organic eggs, scrambled, mixed with the goods, s+p and baked in a hot oven for a half hour. If you can tolerate dairy, top with parmesean [...]

Unending Love
I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times…
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,
That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms,
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
Whenever I hear old chronicles [...]

I definitely love this time of year. One of my favorite memories growing up is sitting in my room making an orange pomander out of a kit from American Girl. The kit was all about Kirsten’s culture in sweden and how they celebrated holidays in a tiny one-room cabin [...]

Well, I have been hoping to do something like this for awhile. And while it is not my ideal set-up, it feels great to have made something. What am I babbling on about, you ask? Well! I have opened a little “shop” on cafe press.com, just a few little things based off of an illustration [...]

okay. so we have been here in Greenwich two weeks now. It is starting to feel like home. We’ve made soups, watched Survivor, and relearned our hatred of hand-washing dishes. I’ve enjoyed getting out and about in Greenwich. Noah is doing well at school and has even been comissioned to compose for a Falkland’s conflict [...]
